A load of old rubbish

Do you still spend hours watching the TV screen? Television has been a great invention since many years ago. Probably, for our grandparents, it was life-changing, starting with only black and white then moving to colors. TV is not only used to entertain but also to be informed. However, is it still worth it?
Nowadays, we prefer to use other kinds of means, devices such as phones or even computers. Personally, I use TV only once in a blue moon. My generation is more used to other devices where you can find any news you are looking for in one second. So, you do not need to wait hours for what you really want to be informed about.
Moreover, TV isn't such a good source of information for people since it has lots of rubbish programs, like reality shows or senseless competitions. Most of them are meaningless and don't teach anything to the audiences, specially the younger ones. Furthermore, we find soap operas everywhere, which you probably have seen a thousand times before.
In contrast, there are gripping programs like documentaries, reports about science, health, nature or our society. These programs, for example, do teach worthwhile and valuable information to the population.
To conclude, I think TV´s days are numbered. Our society is changing, and this old-fashioned device does not fully satisfy our necessities any longer.
